Private Sacred Hiking, Jeep, Kayak & Vortex Tours of Sedona, Arizona & the Verde Valley

Q: What does Sedona Spirit Trails provide?
A: We provide privately a Guided Tour in a luxury SUV with 3 liter Camel backs for water if we are on a hiking tour. All our guides are licensed in CPR and advance first aid. All permits and related fees with the forest service are paid by Sedona Spirit Trails.

Q: How rugged are the hikes?
We customize all our adventures to fit your interest and comfort zone. Your safety and health is our highest priority.  This is your time and your connection we want you to enjoy every moment.

Q: What do we wear?
A: On the hiking tours a broad brimmed hat is helpful but not mandatory — any kind of head wear is good. Comfortable clothing appropriate for the season with long sleeve shirt help protect the skin as do long pants but neither are mandatory. Sun screen, lip moisturizers, sun glasses, rain parka (it does rain in Arizona), light jacket or vest if it's an early morning or a sunset hike.

Q: What about food?
A: Bring some power bars and a piece of fruit for the half-day outings. We'll bring fresh filtered water. We will stop for lunch during the full day adventures in the SUV. Lunch will be provided on full day hikes.

Q: Can we bring alcohol?
A: It’s not a good idea to partake during the day. Alcohol has a dehydrating effect on people and can be harmful — especially the hiking tours.

Q: Can we bring cameras?
A: Yes and plenty of film. If you have a digital camera, back up batteries are also something to consider.

Q: What if I only have Sneakers to wear?
A: No worries, well make our journey a bit easier. You can also buy some hiking shoes at Canyon Outfitters in West Sedona on 89A.

Q: Is it customary to tip the guides?
A: A tip is a nice way to say 'thank you' and should reflect how you feel about the personal service you or your group receive. Some groups organize a group tip for their guide, others prefer to tip personally. Average tip is between 10-15% of your trip cost per person.

Q: Why should we go with Sedona Sprit Trails and not another company or hike on our own?
A: It’s just a matter of where spirit wants you to be.  All the companies in Sedona provide excellent tours with great guides.
